Hadith 12783
١٢٧٨٣ - حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم في رجل حلف (أن) (١) لا يصل رحمه، قال: يصل رحمه ويكفر (٢) يمينه.
Hazrat Mughira narrates that Ibrahim was asked about a person who swore an oath that he would not maintain ties of kinship. He replied: He should maintain ties of kinship and offer expiation for his oath. Hazrat Sha'bi says: He should maintain ties of kinship, but there is no expiation for the oath. If I were to order him to give expiation for the oath, then I would also order him to fulfill his statement.
Hadith 12785
١٢٧٨٥ - حدثنا معتمر بن سليمان عن كثير بن نباتة سمعه يحدث أن أخوين كانا شريكين وأن أحدهما أراد مفارقة أخيه، فقال: (كل) (١) مملوك له حر أو عتيق إن لم يفارق أخاه، وإن أمه أمرته أن (لا) (٢) يفارق (٣) أخاه، فسألت الحسن، أو ⦗٣٢٣⦘ سئل وهو يسمع (٤) ذلك، فقال: ليكفر (٥) يمينه و (ليصل) (٦) رحمه (و) (٧) (يشارك) (٨) أخاه، أو كما قال.
It is narrated from Hazrat Kathir bin Nabatah that two brothers were partners with each other. One of them intended to separate from his brother and said, "If I do not separate from my brother, then every slave of mine is free." However, his mother ordered him not to separate from his brother. I asked Hasan, or he himself was listening to this matter, so he was questioned about it. He replied, "He should pay the expiation for his oath, maintain the ties of kinship, and remain a partner with his brother," or as he said.
Hadith 12787
١٢٧٨٧ - حدثنا محمد بن عبيد (١) عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم في رجل حلف (٢) لا يكلم أباه (و) (٣) أخاه شهرين، قال: (لا يلاطفه) (٤) يدخل عليه ولا يكلمه.
Hazrat A'mash narrates that Ibrahim was asked about a person who has sworn an oath not to speak to his father or brother for two months. He replied: He should show kindness to him and continue to visit him, but just not speak to him.
