The reward for shrouding the deceased
Hadith 12449
١٢٤٤٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن منصور بن صفية قال: سمعت رجلًا يقال له يوسف يحدث (أمي) (١) (٢) قال: من كفن ميتًا كان كمن (كفله) (٣) صغيرًا حتى يكون كبيرًا.
Hazrat Mansoor bin Safiyyah narrates that Yusuf narrates from his mother that whoever shrouds a deceased person is like the one who raises a child and brings him up.
Hadith 12450
١٢٤٥٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن أبي رافع قال: أخبرني مخبر عن سعيد بن المسيب قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "من كفن ميتًا كساه اللَّه من سندس الجنة وحريرها" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever shrouds a deceased person, Allah Almighty will clothe him with a silk garment of Paradise.
