Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Bakr bin Abdullah Muzani narrates that Hazrat Umar once went to visit Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf at his house, and he was performing prayer. Hazrat Umar said to him, "Pray a short prayer."

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that if, during prayer, someone is sitting waiting for you, then conclude the prayer with salam.

Hazrat Abu Juwayriyah Jarmee narrates: We were sitting behind Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) at Maqam Ibrahim; he was performing prayer and had wrapped himself in his cloak. Meanwhile, we began to talk, so upon hearing our voices, he ended the prayer with salam.
