Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr between the Adhan and the Iqamah, before the Iqamah.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr at the time of the adhan. According to one narrator, he also performed them once at the time of iqamah.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) used to offer the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr at such a time as if the call to prayer was being made in his ears. That is, he would offer the Sunnah immediately after the Adhan.
