من قال: إذا قدمتا من سفر فصل ركعتين
If people forget to pray or oversleep during travel, what should they do?
Hadith 4970
٤٩٧٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن أسامة بن (زيد) (١) عن معاذ بن عبد اللَّه بن (خبيب) (٢) عن جابر قال: لما قدمنا مع رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال لي: "يَا جَايرْ هَلْ صَلَّيْتَ؟ " قلت: لا، قال: "فَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ" (٣).
Hazrat Jabir narrates that when we returned from a journey with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he asked me, "O Jabir! Have you offered the prayer?" I replied, "No." He said, "Then offer two rak'ahs."
Hadith 4971
٤٩٧١ - حدثنا وكيع عن كامل أبي العلاء عن أبي صالح أن عثمان كان إذا قدم من سفر صلى ركعتين (١).
When Hazrat Usman returned from a journey, he used to offer two rak'ahs.
Hadith 4972
٤٩٧٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي إسحاق (عن) (١) الحارث عن علي ⦗٤٤⦘ قال: إذا قدمت فصل ركعتين (٢).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that when you return from a journey, perform two units of prayer.
Hadith 4973
٤٩٧٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن مالك بن مغول عن مقاتل بن بشير (العجلي) (١) عن رجل يقال له موسى أن ابن محباس قدم من سفر فصلى في بيته ركعتين على طنفسة (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) once returned from a journey and performed two units of prayer on a mat.
Hadith 4974
٤٩٧٤ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن ابن جريج عن الزهري عن عبد الرحمن بن (كعب) (١) بن مالك عن أبيه أن النبي ﷺ كان لا يقدم من سفر إلا نهارا في الضحى فإذا قدم بدأ بالمسجد فصلى ركعتين (٢).
Hazrat Ka'b bin Malik narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to return from a journey during the forenoon, and when he returned, the first thing he would do was go to the mosque and perform two units of prayer.
