Reward for building a mosque for Allah
Hadith 3186
٣١٨٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم التيمي عن أبيه عن أبي ذر قال: من بنى للَّه مسجدا ولو مثل مفحص قطاة بني (١) له ⦗١٧٨⦘ بيت في الجنة (٢).
Hazrat Abu Dharr narrates that whoever builds a mosque for Allah, even if it is as small as a bird’s nest, Allah Almighty will build a house for him in Paradise.
Hadith 3187
٣١٨٧ - [حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال: حدثنا يزيد بن عبد العريز عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم التيمى عن أبيه عن أبي ذر عن النبي ﷺ قال: "مَنْ بَنَى للَّه مَسْجِدًا وَلَوْ مِفْحَصَ قَطَاةِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لهُ بَيْتًا في الجنة" (١)] (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, even if it is as small as a bird’s nest, Allah Almighty will build a house for him in Paradise.
Hadith 3188
٣١٨٨ - حدثنا يونس بن محمد قال: حدثنا ليث بن سعد عن يزيد بن عبد اللَّه ابن أسامة عن الوليد بن أبي الوليد عن عثمان بن عبد اللَّه بن سراقة عن (عمر) (١) ابن الخطاب أنه قال: سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول: "مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجدًا يُذْكَرُ فيه (اسمُ) (٢) اللَّه بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الجنَّةِ" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Umar bin Khattab that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever builds a mosque in which the name of Allah is mentioned, Allah Almighty will build a house for him in Paradise.
Hadith 3189
٣١٨٩ - حدثنا شبابة قال: حدثنا شعبة عن جابر عن عمار عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس عن النبي ﷺ قال: "مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا (مِفْحَصَ) (١) قَطَاةٍ بَنَى اللَّهُ ⦗١٧٩⦘ لَهُ بَيْتًا في الجنَّة" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever builds a mosque, even if it is as small as a bird’s nest, Allah Almighty will build a house for him in Paradise.
Hadith 3190
٣١٩٠ - قال أبو بكر: وجدت في كتاب أبي (عن) (١) (عبد) (٢) الحميد بن جعفر عن أبيه عن (محمود) (٣) بن لبيد عن عثمان عن النبي ﷺ قال: "مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا وَلَوْ مِفْحَصَ قَطَاةٍ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا في الجَنَّةِ" (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Uthman that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever builds a mosque, even if it is as small as a bird’s nest, Allah Almighty will build a house for him in Paradise.
Hadith 3191
٣١٩١ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا كثير بن عبد الرحمن عن عطاء عن عائشة قالت: (قال) (١): "من بنى (للَّه) (٢) مسجدًا بنى اللَّه له بيتًا (في الجنة) " (٣)، قيل: وهذه المساجد التي في طريق مكة (قالت) (٤): وهذه المساجد التي في طريق مكة (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise. Someone asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) whether the mosques built on the way to Makkah also have the same reward. She replied: Yes, the mosques built on the way to Makkah also have the same reward.
