Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The prayer is not invalidated if someone passes in front of the person praying, but stop him as much as possible, for he is a devil.

1) Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) say that if someone passes in front of a person offering prayer, the prayer is not invalidated, but as much as possible, prevent it.

Hazrat Salim says that someone said to Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that Hazrat Abdullah bin Ayyash bin Abi Rabee'ah says that the passing of a donkey and a dog breaks the prayer. Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said that nothing breaks the prayer of a Muslim.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that nothing breaks the prayer, and keep yourselves light.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that I and Hazrat Fadl were riding on a donkey, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was leading the people in prayer at Arafah. We passed in front of a row and got down from the donkey and let it graze, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say anything to us about this.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib says that prayer is not invalidated by anything except the breaking of ablution.

Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that prayer is not broken by anything; however, stop the passerby as much as you are able.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the prayer is not invalidated by anything passing in front of a person except a black dog.

Hazrat Urwah used to say that prayer is not invalidated by anything except disbelief.

Hazrat Qasim says that nothing breaks the prayer; Allah Almighty is closer than everything.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to be performing prayer at night, and I would be lying between him and the Qiblah in such a way as a corpse is laid.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says that as much as possible, prevent those passing in front of you; among the things from which it is most necessary to be cautious about passing in front during prayer, dogs are foremost.

Hazrat Sha'bi says that prayer is not invalidated by anything; however, as much as you are able, prevent those passing in front of you.
