Hadith 6597
٦٥٩٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن نمير عن (سعد) (١) بن سعيد قال: حدثني محمد بن إبراهيم عن قيس بن (عمرو) (٢) قال: رأى رسول اللَّه ﷺ رجلًا يصلي بعد صلاة الصبح ركعتين فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "صلاة الصبح (٣) مرتين؟ " فقال الرجل: إني لم أكن صليت الركعتين اللتين قبلهما فصليتهما الآن. فسكت (٤).
Hazrat Qais bin Amr narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man performing two rak'ahs after the Fajr prayer, so he said to him, "Is the Fajr prayer performed twice?" The man replied, "I had not performed the Sunnah before the obligatory Fajr prayer, so I am offering them now." Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent.
