Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rabab and one of his companions that they heard Hazrat Abu Dharr supplicating. They said: We saw you, you performed prayer in this city, and we have not seen a prayer longer than this in terms of standing, bowing, and prostration. When you finished, you raised your hands and supplicated, seeking refuge from the Day of Affliction (Yawm al-Bala) and the Day of Exposure (Yawm al-‘Awrah). What is the reason for this? He replied: Yes, that which is unfamiliar to you, we will inform you about it. The Day of Affliction is when two groups of Muslims will fight each other and kill one another. As for the Day of Exposure, it means that indeed Muslim women will be taken captive and their shins will be uncovered. Whoever among them has thick shins will be bought because of her thick shins. I prayed to Allah that I do not live to see that time, but you two will reach that time. The narrator says: Hazrat Uthman was martyred, and Hazrat Muawiyah sent Sireen Abi Arta’ah to Yemen. He imprisoned Muslim women and made them stand in the market (to be sold).
