Hadith 40292
٤٠٢٩٢ - حدثنا حسين بن علي عن زائدة عن عبد الملك عن ربعي بن (حراش) (١) قال: قال عقبة بن (عمرو) (٢) لحذيفة: ألا تحدثنا بما سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ؟ قال: بلى، سمعته يقول: "إن مع الدجال إذا خرج (ماءًا ونارًا) (٣)، فأما الذي ⦗٣٤١⦘ يرى الناس ماءً فنار تحرق، وأما الذي يرى الناس أنه نار فماء عذب بارد، فمن أدرك منكم ذلك فليقع في الذي يرى أنه نار فإنه ماء عذب بارد"، قال عقبة: وأنا سمعته يقول ذلك (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Rabi’ bin Hirash that he said Hazrat Uqbah bin Amr said to Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him), “Will you not tell us those things which you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?” He replied, “Why not? I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: When Dajjal appears, he will have with him water and fire. What people will consider to be fire will actually be sweet and cool water. Whoever among you encounters this situation, let him fall into what he thinks is fire, for indeed it will be sweet, cool water.” Hazrat Uqbah said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say this in just this way.”
