Hadith 40049
٤٠٠٤٩ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن نمير قال: حدثنا فضيل بن غزوان عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ في حجة الوداع: "أيها الناس! أي يوم هذا؟ " قالوا: يوم حرام، قال: "فأي بلد هذا؟ " قالوا: بلد حرام، قال: "فأي شهر هذا؟ " قالوا: شهر حرام، قال: "فإن (أموالكم ودماءكم) (١) وأعراضكم عليكم حرام ⦗٢٤٥⦘ كحرمة يومكم هذا، في بلدكم هذا، في شهركم هذا" -ثم أعادها مرارا، قال: ثم رفع رأسه إلى السماء فقال: "اللهم هل بلغت؟ "- مرارا، قال يقول ابن عباس: واللَّه إنها لوصيته إلى ربه، ثم قال: "ألا فليبلغ الشاهد الغائب: لا ترجعوا بعدي كفارا، يضرب بعضكم رقاب بعض" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said during the Farewell Pilgrimage: O people, what day is this? The people replied, A sacred day. He asked, What city is this? The people replied, A sacred city. He asked, What month is this? The people replied, A sacred month. He said: Indeed, your wealth, your blood, and your honor are sacred among you, just as the sanctity of this day, in this city, in this month. Then he repeated this statement several times. Then he raised his head towards the sky and said: O Allah, have I conveyed (the message)? He repeated this statement several times. Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was his supplication to his Lord. After this, he said: Let the one who is present convey this message to the one who is absent. Do not turn back to disbelief after me, striking the necks of one another.
