Hadith 40023
٤٠٠٢٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي عاصم (١) عن أشياخ (قالوا) (٢): قال حذيفة: تكون فتنة ثم تكون بعدها توبة وجماعة، ثم تكون فتنة لا تكون بعدها توبة ولا جماعة (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a tribulation will occur, then after it there will be repentance and unity. Then another tribulation will occur, after which there will be neither repentance nor unity (that is, after the first tribulation there will be repentance and collectiveness will be established, but after the second, neither of the two will happen).
