Hadith 39963
٣٩٩٦٣ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة (عن مرة) (١) عن رجل من أصحاب النبي ﷺ قال: قام فينا رسول اللَّه ﷺ فقال: "ألا إني فرطكم على الحوض، أنظر كم وأكاثر بكم الأمم (فلا تسودوا) (٢) (وجهي) (٣) " (٤).
Hazrat Murrah narrates from one of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us and said: Beware! I will reach the Pond before you. I will see you and, due to your abundance, I will take pride over other communities. Therefore, do not blacken my face (meaning: do not grieve me).
