Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Bakrah narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "What month is this?" We replied, "Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) know best." The narrator says: He remained silent until we thought that he would give this month a name other than its usual name. Then he said: "Is it not Dhul-Hijjah?" We replied, "Yes, indeed." He then said: "What city is this?" We replied, "Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) know best." He (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent, and we thought that he would call this city by another name. Then he said: "Is it not the Sacred City?" We replied, "Yes, indeed." He then said: "What day is this?" We replied, "Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) know best." The narrator says: He remained silent until we thought that he would give this day another name. Then he said: "Is it not the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr)?" We replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." Then he said: "Indeed, your blood, your wealth," Muhammad bin Sirin, the narrator, says: "I think he also said, 'and your honor,' are sacred to one another just as the sanctity of this day, in this city, in this month. And soon you will meet your Lord, and He will ask you about your deeds."
