Hadith 39940
٣٩٩٤٠ - حدثنا أبو أسامة (عن الأعمش) (١) عن (منذر) (٢) عن عاصم بن ضمرة عن علي قال: وضع اللَّه في هذه الأمة خمس فتن: فتنة عامة، ثم فتنة خاصة ثم فتنة عامة، ثم فتنة خاصة، ثم فتنة تموج كموج البحر (يصبح) (٣) الناس فيها كالبهائم (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him, may Allah honor his face) that he said: Allah Almighty has appointed five tribulations for this Ummah: first a general tribulation, then a specific tribulation, then a general tribulation, then a specific tribulation, then there will be such a tribulation that will surge like the waves of the sea, in which people will become like cattle.
