Hadith 39914
٣٩٩١٤ - حدثنا أبو الأحوص، عن منصور، عن هلال بن يساف، عن سعيد ابن زيد قال: كنا عند النبي ﷺ فذكر فتنة (فعظم) (١) أمرها، قال: فقلنا -أو قالوا-: يا رسول اللَّه لئن أدركنا هذا لنهلكن، قال: "كلا، إن بحسبكم القتل"، قال سعيد: فرأيت إخواني قتلوا (٢).
Hazrat Saeed bin Zaid narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he mentioned a tribulation and considered its matter grave. The narrator says: We, or they, said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), if we encounter it, will we be destroyed?" He replied, "Never; killing will be sufficient for you." Hazrat Saeed says: I saw my brothers, all of them were killed.
