Hadith 37280
٣٧٢٨٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي إسحاق عن أبي الأحوص عن عبد اللَّه في قوله: ﴿تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَصُوحًا﴾ [التحريم: ٨] قال: التوبة النصوح أن يتوب ثم لا يعود (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah regarding the Divine Command { تُوبُوا إِلَی اللہِ تَوْبَۃً نَصُوحًا }. He, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Sincere repentance (tawbah nasuh) is that a person repents and then does not commit that sin again.
