It is narrated from Hazrat Qais that he says: When Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Syria, the people welcomed him. Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was on his camel. The people said: O Commander of the Faithful! If you would ride a non-Arab horse, as the leaders and chiefs of the people will meet you. The narrator says that upon this Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I will not show myself to you here. The real matter is there, and he (may Allah be pleased with him) pointed towards the sky with his hand. You people, clear the way for my camel.
