Hadith 3509
٣٥٠٩ - حدثنا هشيم عن حصين عن عبد اللَّه بن شداد قال: (استقبل) (١) النبي ﷺ (الناس) (٢) ذات ليلة في العشاء؛ يعني: العتمة، قال: "فلقد هممت أن آمر بالصلاة فينادى بها، ثم آتي قوما في بيوتهم فأحرقها عليهم لا يشهدون الصلاة" (٣).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Shaddad narrates that one night the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Isha prayer briefly, then said that I feel inclined to appoint someone to lead the prayer, then the call to prayer be given, and I go to the houses of those who do not come to the mosque for prayer and burn them down.
