Hadith 35087
٣٥٠٨٧ - حدثنا غسان بن (مضر) (١) عن سعيد بن يزيد عن أبي نضرة عن جابر قال: لما ولي (عمر) (٢) الخلافة فرض الفرائض، ودون الدواوين، وعرف العرفاء، قال جابر: فعرفني على أصحابي (٣).
Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was granted the caliphate, he (may Allah be pleased with him) fixed the shares. And he had the registers compiled. And appointed supervisors. Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: He (may Allah be pleased with him) appointed me as a supervisor over my companions.
