Hadith 35073
٣٥٠٧٣ - حدثنا حميد بن عبد الرحمن عن الحسن بن (قيس) (١) عن أبيه قال: أتيت عليا بابن (عم) (٢) لي فقلت: يا أمير المؤمنين افرض لهذا، قال: أربع -يعني أربعمائة، قال: قلت: إن أربعمائة لا تغني شيئًا زده المائتين (التي) (٣) زدت الناس قال: فذاك له، وقد كان زاد الناس مائتين (٤).
Hazrat Qais, may Allah have mercy on him, says that I brought my cousin to Hazrat Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, and I submitted: O Commander of the Faithful, fix an allowance for him as well. He, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Four hundred dirhams. I submitted: Surely, four hundred dirhams will not benefit him much. He, may Allah be pleased with him, increased two hundred dirhams more for him, just as he had increased for the people. He, may Allah be pleased with him, said: It has been increased for him as well. The narrator says: He, may Allah be pleased with him, had increased two hundred dirhams for the people.
