Hadith 34698
٣٤٦٩٨ - (١) [حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا إسماعيل بن خالد عن قيس أن عمر بن الخطاب فرض (لأهل) (٢) بدر (لقريبهم) (٣) ومولاهم في خمسة آلاف خمسة آلاف وقال: "لأفضلنهم على من سواهم" (٤).
Hazrat Qais, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that Hazrat Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, allotted a share of five thousand each to the Arab who participated in Badr and to his slave, and said: I will surely give preference to the people of Arabia over others.
