٣٤٦٥٤ - حدثنا سويد الكلبي قال: ثنا عبد العزيز بن أبي سلمة (قال) (١): أخبرنا محمد بن عبد اللَّه (بن) (٢) كثير بن الصلت قال: (نكح) (٣) مولى لنا عربية، (فأتى) (٤) عمر ابن عبد العزيز فاستعدى عليه فقال: واللَّه لقد عدا مولى (آل) (٥) كثير طوره.
Hazrat Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Kathir bin Salt (may Allah have mercy on him) says that one of our freed slaves married an Arab woman. So he was brought before Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) and help was sought against him. Upon this, he (may Allah have mercy on him) said: By Allah! Indeed, the slave of the family of Kathir has acted beyond his rank and his limit.
