Hadith 33749
٣٣٧٤٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن إسماعيل عن الشعبي عن مسروق سئل عن رجل مات ولم يترك مولى عتاقة ولا وارثا قال: ماله حيث وضعه، فإن لم يكن أوصى بشيء فماله في بيت المال.
Sha'bi says that Masruq was asked about a man who had died and at the time of his death he had not left behind a "Mawla 'Utaqa" nor any heir. He replied that his wealth will go wherever he had designated it to go; if he had not made any bequest, then his wealth will go to the Bayt al-Mal (public treasury).
