Hadith 33588
٣٣٥٨٨ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا إسماعيل عن الشعبي عن عبد اللَّه بن معقل قال: ما رأيت قضاء بعد قضاء أصحاب رسول اللَّه ﷺ أحسن من قضاء قضى به معاوية في أهل الكتاب، قال: نرثهم ولا يرثوننا، كما يحل لنا النكاح فيهم، ولا يحل لهم النكاح فينا (١).
Abdullah bin Ma’qil (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I have not seen any judgment after the judgment of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) better than the judgment of Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), which he gave regarding the People of the Book: that we will inherit from them, but they will not inherit from us, just as it is lawful for us to marry their women, but it is not lawful for them to marry our women.
