Hadith 33456
٣٣٤٥٦ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان عن داود بن أبي هند عن عبد اللَّه بن عبيد ابن عمير قال: كتبت إلى أخ لي في بني (زريق) (١): لمن قضى رسول اللَّه ﷺ (٢) بابن الملاعنة، فكتب (إلي أن) (٣) رسول اللَّه ﷺ قضى به لأمه، هي بمنزلة أبيه ومنزلة أمه (٤).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Ubaid bin Umair narrates that I asked, through a letter, one of my brothers living among Banu Zuraiq: For whom did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) decide regarding the son of the woman who performed li'an? He replied in writing that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) decided in favor of his mother; his mother is for him in place of both mother and father.
