Hadith 26848
٢٦٨٤٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا شبابة عن ابن أبي ذئب عن عبد الرحمن بن مهران عن (عمير) (١) مولى ابن عباس عن أسامة قال: دخلت مع النبي ﷺ الكعبة، (فرأيت) (٢) في البيت صورة فأمرني فأتيته بدلو من (ماء) (٣)، فجعل يضرب تلك الصورة ويقول: قاتل اللَّه قومًا يصورون ما لا يخلقون (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama. He says that I entered the House of Allah (Ka'bah) along with the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). When he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a picture inside the House of Allah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me. So I brought a bucket of water to him (peace and blessings be upon him). And he (peace and blessings be upon him) began to throw this water on those pictures. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah destroy this people; they make pictures of things which they cannot give life to."
