Hadith 24980
٢٤٩٨٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن عيينة عن الزهري عن عبيد اللَّه عن أم قيس ابنة محصن قالت: دخلت بابن لي على رسول اللَّه ﷺ وقد أعلقت (عليه) (١) ⦗١١١⦘ من العذرة فقال: " (علام) (٢) (تدغرن) (٣) أولادكن (عليكن) (٤) بهذا العلاق؟ عليكن بهذا العود الهندي فإن فيه سبعة أشفية، (يستعط) (٥) به من العذرة، (ويلد) (٦) به من (ذات) (٧) (الجنب) (٨) " (٩).
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Qais bint Mihsan. She says: I went to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) with one of my sons, and because of a pain in his throat, I had applied a leech to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why are you strangling your child's throat? Do this treatment. Use this Indian aloeswood (Oud Hindi), for in it is a cure for seven diseases. If there is pain in the throat, it should be inhaled through the nose, and if there is pleurisy, it should be used from the corner of the mouth."
