Hadith 20222
٢٠٢٢٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا حفص عن ابن (جريج) (١) قال: قلت لعطاء أبلغك أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ ترك أهل الجاهلية على ما كانوا عليه من نكاح أو طلاق؟ قال: نعم (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Jurayj (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Hazrat Ata whether this has reached you regarding the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he maintained for the people of ignorance the rules of marriage and divorce that were prevalent among them? He replied, yes, it is so.
