Hadith 19397
١٩٣٩٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا سفيان بن عيينة عن الزهري عن عبيد اللَّه وسليمان بن يسار وحميد بن عبد الرحمن: سمعنا أبا هريرة يقول: سألت عمر عن ⦗٢٥٦⦘ رجل من أهل البحرين طلق امرأته تطليقة أو تطليقتين، فتزوجت ثم إن زوجها طلقها ثم إن الأول تزوجها، على كم هي عنده؟ قال: هي على ما بقي من الطلاق (١).
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) about a man from Bahrain who had given his wife one or two divorces. Then that woman married someone else, and her second husband also divorced her. Then the first husband married her again. How many divorces would he have the right to give her? He replied that he would have the right to the remaining number of divorces.
