Hadith 19142
١٩١٤٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا أبو خالد الأحمر عن يحيى بن سعيد قال: قال أبو بكر: سألني عمر بن عبد العزيز عن البتة فقلت له: إن أبان بن عثمان كان يقول: هي واحدة فقال عمر: لو كان الطلاق ألفًا ما أبقت البتة منه شيئًا.
Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) asked me about irrevocable divorce. I told him that Aban bin Uthman used to say that only one divorce would take place. Hazrat Umar (may Allah have mercy on him) said that even if there are a thousand divorces, after giving an irrevocable divorce, not a single divorce will remain.
