Hadith 16722
١٦٧٢٢ - حدثنا ابن إدريس عن محمد بن إسحاق ومالك بن أنس عن عبد اللَّه ابن الفضل عن نافع بن جبير عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: (الأيم أحق بنفسها من وليها، والبكر تستأمر، وصمتها إقرارها) (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: A widow has more right over herself than her guardian, and a virgin should be asked for permission, and her silence is her consent.
