الرجل يحلف أن لا يكلم الرجل حينا كم يكون ذلكIf someone swears not to speak to a person for a certain time, how long is meant?
Hadith 12875
١٢٨٧٥ - حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن عطاء بن السائب (عن رجل منهم قال: سألت ابن عباس) (١) قلت: إني حلفت (لا) (٢) أكلم رجلًا حينًا قال: فقرأ ابن عباس: ﴿تُؤْتِي أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا﴾ [إبراهيم: ٢٥]، قال: الحين السنة (٣).
Hazrat Ata bin Saib narrates from one of these persons that I asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that I have taken an oath that I will not speak to a person for a certain period (of time)? He recited the verse of the Holy Qur'an { تُؤْتِیْٓ اُکُلَھَا کُلَّ حِیْنٍ بِاِذْنِ رَبِّھَا } and said: By the word "Hīn" is meant one year.
