في الأعرج والمجنون والأعور يجزي في الرقبةIs it sufficient to free a lame, insane, or one-eyed slave?
Hadith 12613
١٢٦١٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا هشيم عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم أنه كان يقول: (فيمن) (١) كانت عليه رقبة، فاشترى نسمة، قال: إذا (أنفذها) (٢) من عمل إلى عمل أجزاه، (و) (٣) لا يجزيه من لا يعمل، فأما الذي يعمل فالأعور ونحوه، وأما الذي لا يعمل (فالمقعد والأعمى) (٤).
Ibrahim says that whoever is obliged to free a slave should buy a single soul (slave), then when he enacts it from one deed to another deed, it will suffice for him, and it will not suffice for what he has not done. So whoever acts, it is like "kana" and its like, and whoever does not act, it is like the blind and the lame.
