Hadith 12492
١٢٤٩٢ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة قال: سمعت عبد اللَّه بن صبيح قال: سمعت محمد بن سيرين قال: ذكروا عند عمران بن الحصين [النوح (فقال) (١): إن] (٢) الميت يعذب ببكاء الحي قالوا: وكيف يعذب ببكاء الحي قال: قد قاله رسول اللَّه ﷺ (٣).
Hazrat Muhammad bin Sirin narrates that it was mentioned before Hazrat Imran bin Husain that the deceased is punished because of the weeping of the living. People asked, "How is the deceased punished because of the weeping of the living?" He replied that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has said so.
