Hadith 11001
١١٠٠١ - حدثنا ابن فضيل عن عاصم بن كليب عن أبيه عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "اليد العليا خير من اليد السفلى وخير (الصدقة) (١) ما أبقت غنى وابدأ بمن تعول" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Tha'labah bin Zahdam that the people of Tha'labah came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was delivering a sermon, and he was saying: "The giving hand is the upper hand, and the receiving hand is the lower hand. And begin giving to those who are under your care: your mother, your father, your sister, your brother, the one who is closest to you, and then the one who is next closest."
