أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَوْجَرِيُّ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ فِي كِتَابِهِ إِلَيْنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الذِّمَارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، رَدَّ نِكَاحَ بِكْرٍ وَثَيِّبٍ أَنْكَحَهُمَا أَبَوَاهُمَا وَهُمَا كَارِهَتَانِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، إِلا الذِّمَارِيُّ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) annulled the marriage of a virgin and a widow whose fathers had married them off without their consent.

«أخرجه أبوداود، النكاح، باب في البكر يزوجها أبوها ولا يستأمرها، حديث:2096، وابن ماجه، النكاح، حديث:1875، وأحمد:1 /273.»©Explanation:
From this hadith, it is understood that although the father is the guardian (wali), if he contracts the marriage of the girl without her permission and consultation, then the girl is legally (shar'an) entitled that if she is displeased with this marriage, she may annul it.
