Hadith 450
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin 'Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he was in the state of Ihram with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Lice were troubling him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to shave his head and said: Fast for three days, or feed six needy people two mudd (of dates) each, or slaughter a goat. Whichever of these you do will suffice.
Hadith 451
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would stop reciting the Talbiyah in ‘Umrah after touching the Black Stone.
Hadith 452
Salim reports that his father, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), informed him that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) kissed the Black Stone, then said: By Allah! I know that you are a stone. If I had not seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kissing you, I would never have kissed you. Amr says: Zayd bin Aslam also narrated to me a similar report from his father.
Hadith 453
Nafi' says: I saw Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) touch the Black Stone with his hand, then kiss his hand and say: Ever since I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) do this, I have not abandoned it.
Hadith 454
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Makkah, he approached the Black Stone and touched it, then walked to the right, performing ramal (walking briskly) in three circuits and walking normally in four circuits.
Hadith 455
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ramal (brisk walking) from the Black Stone to (back to) the Black Stone in three circuits, and walked normally in four circuits.
Hadith 456
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sa’ib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicating between the Rukn Bani Jumah (Rukn Yamani) and the Black Stone: «رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ» (O our Lord! Grant us good in this world, good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.)
Hadith 457
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Tawaf of the House of Allah and between Safa and Marwah...
Hadith 458
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَهُمْ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي رِجَالٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ ، مِنْهُمْ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " أَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَانُوا جَمَعُوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ فَإِنَّمَا طَافُوا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا " .
The noble wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that those people who performed both Hajj and Umrah together, they performed only one Tawaf.
Hadith 459
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " طَافُوا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا لِحَجِّهِمْ وَعُمْرَتِهِمْ وَسَعَوْا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عَاصِمٍ مَرَّةً : " إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابَهُ طَافُوا بِالْبَيْتِ طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا لِحَجِّهِمْ وَعُمْرَتِهِمْ وَسَعَوْا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ .
Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, he said: Abu Asim narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, that the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, performed one tawaf for both their Hajj and their Umrah, and they walked between Safa and Marwah. Abu Asim once said: Indeed, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions performed one tawaf of the House for both their Hajj and their Umrah, and they walked between Safa and Marwah.
Hadith 460
Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, he said: Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to me, he said: 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Muhammad narrated to us from 'Ubaydullah, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ كَفَاهُ لَهُمَا طَوَافٌ وَاحِدٌ ثُمَّ لَا يَحِلُّ حَتَّى يَحِلَّ مِنْهُمَا».
Hadith 461
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Tawaf of the House of Allah is a kind of prayer, except that Allah Almighty has permitted you to speak in it, so whoever speaks should only say good words.
Hadith 462
Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when she came to Makkah, she was ill. She mentioned this to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said: "Perform Tawaf riding, behind the people." Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting Surah At-Tur near the Ka'bah.
Hadith 463
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed Tawaf on the occasion of the Farewell Hajj while riding a camel and touched the Corner (Hajar al-Aswad) with a crooked-headed stick.
Hadith 464
Sayyiduna Abu Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing Tawaf while riding a camel. He would touch the corners (Hajar Aswad) with his crooked-ended stick and kiss its edge. Then he proceeded towards Safa and performed seven circuits (Sa’i) while riding the camel.

أَبِي ، قَالَ : أَتَيْنَا
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا وَهُوَ فِي بَنِي سَلَمَةَ ، فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَثَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ لَمْ يَحُجَّ ثُمَّ أُذِّنَ فِي النَّاسِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَاجٌّ هَذَا الْعَامَ ، فَنَزَلَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ بَشَرٌ كَثِيرٌ كُلُّهُمْ يَلْتَمِسُ أَنْ يَأْتَمَّ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيَفْعَلَ مَا يَفْعَلُ ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ وَخَرَجْنَا مَعَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا أَتَى ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ نَفِسَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ بِمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْأَلُهُ ، كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ ؟ قَالَ : اغْتَسِلِي ثُمَّ اسْتَثْفِرِي بِثَوْبٍ ثُمَّ أَهِلِّي ، فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى إِذَا اسْتَوَتْ بِهِ نَاقَتُهُ عَلَى الْبَيْدَاءِ أَهَلَّ بِالتَّوْحِيدِ : " لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ ، لَبَّيْكَ لا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ ، وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ ، وَالْمُلْكَ ، لا شَرِيكَ لَكَ " وَلَبَّى النَّاسُ وَالنَّاسُ يَزِيدُونَ ذَا الْمَعَارِجِ وَنَحْوَهُ ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْمَعُ فَلا يَقُولُ لَهُمْ شَيْئًا ، فَنَظَرْتُ مَدَّ بَصَرِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمِنْ رَاكِبٍ وَمَاشٍ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ مثل ذَلِكَ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ مثل ذَلِكَ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ مثل ذَلِكَ ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ : وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِنَا عَلَيْهِ يَنْزِلُ الْقُرْآنُ وَهُوَ يَعْرِفُ تَأْوِيلَهُ فَمَا عَمِلَ بِهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ عَمِلْنَا ، فَخَرَجْنَا لا نَنْوِي إِلا الْحَجَّ حَتَّى إِذَا أَتَيْنَا الْكَعْبَةَ اسْتَلَمَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحَجَرَ الأَسْوَدَ ثُمَّ رَمَلَ ثَلاثَةً وَمَشَى أَرْبَعَةً حَتَّى إِذَا فَرَغَ عَمَدَ إِلَى مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى خَلْفَهُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى سورة البقرة آية 125 قَالَ أَبِي : فَقَرَأَ فِيهِ بِالتَّوْحِيدِ ، وَ قُلْ يَأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ثُمَّ اسْتَلَمَ الْحَجَرَ وَخَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّفَا ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ سورة البقرة آية 158 ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : نَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللَّهُ بِهِ ، فَرَقَى عَلَى الصَّفَا حَتَّى إِذَا نَظَرَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ كَبَّرَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ أَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ ، وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ ، وَهَزَمَ أَوْ غَلَبَ الأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ ، ثُمَّ دَعَا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى هَذَا الْكَلامِ ثُمَّ نزل حَتَّى إِذَا انْصَبَّتْ قَدَمَاهُ فِي الْوَادِي رَمَلَ حَتَّى إِذَا صَعِدَ مَشَى حَتَّى إِذَا أَتَى الْمَرْوَةَ فَرَقِيَ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى إِذَا نَظَرَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ ، فَقَالَ عَلَيْهَا كَمَا قَالَ عَلَى الصَّفَا ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ السَّابِعُ عِنْدَ الْمَرْوَةِ ، قَالَ : يَأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي لَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ لَمْ أَسُقِ الْهَدْيَ وَلَجَعَلْتُهَا عُمْرَةً فَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلْيَحِلَّ وَلْيَجْعَلْهَا عَمْرَةً ، قَالَ : فَحَلَّ النَّاسُ كُلُّهُمْ ، فَقَالَ سُرَاقَةُ بْنُ جُعْشُمٍ وَهُوَ فِي أَسْفَلِ الْمَرْوَةِ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَلِعَامِنَا هَذَا أَمْ لِلأَبَدِ ؟ قَالَ : فَشَبَّكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصَابِعَهُ ، قَالَ : لِلأَبَدِ ، ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : دَخَلَتِ الْعُمْرَةُ فِي الْحَجِّ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ، قَالَ : وَقَدِمَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَقَدِمَ بِهَدْيٍ وَسَاقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَهُ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ هَدْيًا ، فَإِذَا فَاطِمَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَدْ حَلَّتْ وَلَبِسَتْ ثِيَابًا صَبِيغًا وَاكْتَحَلَتْ فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَلَيْهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : أَمَرَنِي بِهِ أَبِي ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِالْكُوفَةِ ، قَالَ أَبِي : هَذَا الْحَرْفُ لَمْ يَذْكُرْهُ جَابِرٌ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، فَذَهَبْتُ مُحَرِّشًا أَسْتَفْتِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الَّذِي ذَكَرَتْ فَاطِمَةُ ، قُلْتُ : إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ لَبِسَتْ ثِيَابًا صَبِيغًا وَاكْتَحَلَتْ ، وَقَالَتْ : أَمَرَنِي بِهِ أَبِي ، فَقَالَ : صَدَقَتْ صَدَقَتْ صَدَقَتْ ، أَنَا أَمَرْتُهَا بِهِ ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ : وَقَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : بِمَ أَهْلَلْتَ ؟ قَالَ : قُلْتُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُهِلُّ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : وَمَعِيَ الْهَدْيُ ، قَالَ : فَلا تَحِلَّ ، قَالَ : وَكَانَ جَمَاعَةُ الْهَدْيِ الَّذِي أَتَى بِهِ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ وَالَّذِي أَتَى بِهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِائَةً ، فَنَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ ثَلاثًا وَسِتِّينَ وَأَعْطَى عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَنَحَرَ مَا غَبَرَ وَأَشْرَكَهُ فِي هَدْيِهِ ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ بَدَنَةٍ بِبَضْعَةٍ ، فَجُعِلَتْ فِي قِدْرٍ فَأَكَلا مِنْ لَحْمِهَا وَشَرِبَا مِنْ مَرَقِهَا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : قَدْ نَحَرْتُ هَهُنَا وَمِنًى كُلُّهَا مَنْحَرٌ ، وَوَقَفَ بِعَرَفَةَ ، وَقَالَ : قَدْ وَقَفْتُ هَهُنَا وَعَرَفَةُ كُلُّهَا مَوْقِفٌ ، وَوَقَفَ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ ، فَقَالَ : قَدْ وَقَفْتُ هَهُنَا وَالْمُزْدَلِفَةُ كُلُّهَا مَوْقِفٌ " .

حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ

أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : خَرَجْنَا لا نَنْوِي إِلا الْحَجَّ ، فَلَمَّا كُنَّا بِسَرِفٍ حِضْتُ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا أَبْكِي ، فَقَالَ : " أَحِضْتِ ؟ قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ هَذَا شَيْءٌ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ آدَمَ فَاقْضِي مَا يَقْضِي الْمُحْرِمُ غَيْرَ أَنْ لا تَطُوفِي بِالْبَيْتِ " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that we set out with the intention of performing only Hajj. When we reached Sarif, I began menstruating. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me and I was crying. He asked: Have you started menstruating? I said: Yes. He said: This is something Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam (women). Do everything that a pilgrim does, except that you should not perform the circumambulation (Tawaf) of the House of Allah.
Hadith 467
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ
زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنِ
الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ
عُرْوَة بْنُ مُضَرِّسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَتَيْتُكَ مِنْ جَبَلَيْ طَيِّءٍ وَقَدْ أَكْلَلْتُ رَاحِلَتِي وَلَمْ أَدَعْ حَبْلا إِلا وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنْ شَهِدَ بِالصَّلاةِ مَعَنَا وَوَقَفَ بِعَرَفَةَ مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ فَقَدْ قَضَى تَفَثَهُ وَتَمَّ حَجَّهُ " .
Sayyiduna ‘Urwah bin Mudarris (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Muzdalifah. I said: I have come to you from the mountains of Tayy; I have exhausted my mount and stood on every mountain (of the way). (Is my Hajj valid?) He replied: Whoever has performed this prayer (Maghrib and ‘Isha) with us and has stood at ‘Arafah by night or day, he has removed his impurity and his Hajj is complete.
Hadith 468
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Ya’mur Daili (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say—he said it three times: Standing at Arafat is Hajj. Whoever reaches Arafat before the rising of dawn has attained Hajj.
Hadith 470
كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ جَمِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا
مَحْبُوبٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا
دَاوُدُ ، عَنْ
عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَفَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ ، فَلَمَّا قَالَ : لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّمَا الْخَيْرُ خَيْرُ الآخِرَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at Arafat, and when he said «لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ», he said: «بھلائی تو صرف آخرت کی بھلائی ہے۔»
Hadith 471
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at the place of standing in Arafat, then said: «یہ مقام موقف ہے، اور عرفہ سارا ہی موقف ہے۔» Then after the sun had set, he returned.
Hadith 472
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : " كُنْتُ أَنَا مِمَّنْ قَدَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ فِي ضَعَفَةِ أَهْلِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that I was among those weak people whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent ahead from Muzdalifah (so that they could be spared from hardship).
Hadith 473
حَدَّثَنَا
عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : أَنَا
عِيسَى ، عَنْ
عَوْفٍ ، عَنْ
زِيَادِ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَدَاةَ الْعَقَبَةِ وَهُوَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ : " هَاتِ الْقُطْ " ، فَلَقَطْتُ لَهُ حَصَيَاتٍ نَحْوًا مِنْ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ ، فَلَمَّا وَضَعْتُهُنَّ فِي يَدِهِ ، قَالَ : " مثل هَؤُلاءِ ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْغُلُوَّ فِي الدِّينِ ، فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِالْغُلُوِّ فِي الدِّينِ " .
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that on the morning of Aqabah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed me, while he was mounted on his camel, to bring him pebbles. So I gathered for him small pebbles, about the size that could be thrown with a finger. When I placed them in his hand, he said three times: «ایسی ہی کنکریاں مارو» and said: «دین میں غلو سے بچو، کیونکہ تم سے پہلے لوگ دین میں غلو کی وجہ سے تباہ ہوئے۔»
Hadith 474
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would throw the pebbles on the day of sacrifice at the forenoon, and on the following days he would throw the pebbles after the sun had declined.
Hadith 475
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، وَمَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : " رَمَى
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ الْجَمْرَةَ بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ ، وَجَعَلَ الْبَيْتَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَعَرَفَةَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، وَقَالَ : هَذَا مَقَامُ الَّذِي أنزلت عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ " .
Abdur Rahman bin Yazid says that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) threw seven pebbles keeping the Ka'bah on his left side and Arafah on his right side, and said: This is the place of the one upon whom Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed.
Hadith 476
Sayyiduna Fadl (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to recite the Talbiyah until he stoned the Jamrah ‘Aqabah.
Hadith 477
Sayyiduna Asim bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the camel herders to stone (the pillars) one day and not to stone the next day.
Hadith 478
Sayyiduna Asim bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted permission to the camel herders regarding the nights of Mina that they should stone (the Jamarat) on the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr), then combine the stoning of the two days after sacrifice and perform them all in one day. Malik says: I think he said to do the stoning on the first day, then when returning from Mina, to stone (the Jamarat).
Hadith 479
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that during Hajj and Umrah, we used to share one camel for sacrifice among seven people along with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَتْنِي
عَمْرَةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَنْصَارِيَّةُ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْهَا تَقُولُ ، " خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَدُخِلَ عَلَيْنَا يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ بِلَحْمِ بَقَرٍ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَا هَذَا ؟ فَقِيلَ : ذَبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ " ، قَالَ يَحْيَى : فَذَكَرْتُهُ لِلْقَاسِمِ ، فَقَالَ : أَتَتْكَ وَاللَّهِ بِالْحَدِيثِ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that we set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (for Hajj). On the day of sacrifice, beef was brought to us, so I asked: What is this? It was said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has offered sacrifice on behalf of his wives. Yahya says: I narrated this to Qasim, so he said: By Allah! You have received an authentic hadith.
Hadith 481

شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : وثَنِي
سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ
عُبَيْدِ بْنِ فَيْرُوزَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ
الْبَرَاءَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، فَقُلْتُ حَدِّثْنِي مَا نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَوْ مَا كَانَ يَكْرَهُ مِنَ الأَضَاحِي ، فَقَالَ : قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيَدِي أَقْصَرُ مِنْ يَدِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَرْبَعٌ لا يَجُزْنَ : الْعَوْرَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ عَوَرُهَا ، وَالْمَرِيضَةُ الْبَيِّنُ مَرَضُهَا ، وَالْعَرْجَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ ضَلَعُهَا ، وَالْكَسِيرَةُ الَّتِي لا تُنْقِي " قَالَ : قُلْتُ : فَإِنِّي أَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ فِي السِّنِّ نَقْصٌ أَوْ فِي الأُذُنِ أَوْ فِي الْقَرْنِ ، قَالَ : " مَا كَرِهْتَ فَدَعْهُ وَلا تُحَرِّمْهُ عَلَى أحَدٍ " .
Ubaid bin Fayruz says that I asked Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him): Tell me, from which animals did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibit sacrifice, or which sacrifice did he dislike? He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us—my hand is smaller than his hand—and he said: «چار جانور قربانی کے لیے جائز نہیں: واضح طور پر کانا، واضح طور پر بیمار، واضح طور پر لنگڑا، اور وہ لاغر جس کی ہڈیوں میں گودا نہ ہو۔» Ubaid bin Fayruz says: I said, I also dislike a defect in the tooth, ear, or horn? He said: «جو تمہیں ناپسند ہو اسے چھوڑ دو، لیکن اسے دوسروں پر حرام قرار نہ دو۔»
Hadith 482
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to look after his sacrificial camels, to distribute their meat, skins, and coverings, and not to give anything from them as payment to the butcher.
Hadith 483
حَدَّثَنَا

عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ ، وَأَنْ أَقْسِمَ لُحُومَهَا وَجِلالَهَا ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ لا أُعْطِيَ الْجَازِرَ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا ، وَقَالَ : " نَحْنُ نُعْطِيهِ مِنْ عِنْدَنَا " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to look after his sacrificial camels, to distribute their meat and their coverings, and not to give the butcher any payment from them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «اس کی اجرت ہم اپنے پاس سے دیں گے۔»
Hadith 484
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had his head shaved, he gave the hair from the right side of his head to Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him), then he had the hair from the left side of his head shaved and distributed it among the people.
Hadith 485

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ
عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ

ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ ، قَالُوا : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ ، قَالُوا : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ ، قَالُوا : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ قَالَ : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «اللہ سر منڈوانے والوں پر رحم فرمائے۔» The people said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray for those who trim their hair as well. He said: «اللہ سر منڈوانے والوں پر رحم فرمائے۔» The people said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray for those who trim their hair as well. He said: «اللہ سر منڈوانے والوں پر رحم فرمائے۔» The people said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray for those who trim their hair as well. He said: «اور بال کتروانے والوں پر بھی اللہ رحم فرمائے۔»
Hadith 486
حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثَنَا
عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَنَا
عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ
نَافِعِ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَفَاضَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ بِمِنًى " ، قَالَ نَافِعٌ : فَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا يُفِيضُ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ فَيُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ بِمِنًى ، وَيُذْكَرُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَهُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Tawaf al-Ifadah on the Day of Sacrifice, then returned and offered the Zuhr prayer in Mina. Nafi’ says that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would also perform the Tawaf al-Ifadah on the Day of Sacrifice, then return and offer the Zuhr prayer in Mina, and he would say that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had done likewise.
Hadith 487

ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ
الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ
عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : " ذَبَحْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَحْلِقَ ؟ قَالَ : احْلِقْ وَلا حَرَجَ " ، فَسَأَلَهُ آخَرُ ، فَقَالَ : " حَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَذْبَحَ ؟ قَالَ : اذْبَحْ وَلا حَرَجَ " ، قَالَ آخَرُ : " ذَبَحْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَرْمِيَ ؟ قَالَ : ارْمِ وَلا حَرَجَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I performed the sacrifice before shaving my head, is there any harm?" He replied: «اب سر منڈوا لو، کوئی حرج نہیں۔» Another man said: "I shaved my head before performing the sacrifice, is there any harm?" He replied: «اب قربانی کر لو، کوئی حرج نہیں۔» Another said: "I performed the sacrifice before throwing the pebbles, is there any harm?" He replied: «اب کنکریاں مار لو، کوئی حرج نہیں۔»
Hadith 488
حَدَّثَنَا

الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ
عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ بِمِنًى فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَظُنُّ الْحَلْقَ قَبْلَ النَّحْرِ ، فَحَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنْحَرَ ، قَالَ : انْحَرْ وَلا حَرَجَ " ، قَالَ : وَجَاءَهُ آخَرُ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَظُنُّ الْحَلْقَ قَبْلَ الرَّمْيِ ، فَحَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَرْمِيَ ، قَالَ : ارْمِ وَلا حَرَجَ " ، قَالَ : فَمَا سُئِلَ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنْ شَيْءٍ قَدَّمَهُ رَجُلٌ وَأَخَّرَهُ ، إِلا قَالَ : " افْعَلْ وَلا حَرَجَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in Mina riding a she-camel. A man came and said: O Messenger of Allah! I thought that shaving the head should be done before the sacrifice, so I shaved my head before the sacrifice. Is there any harm in that? He said: «اب قربانی کر لو، کوئی حرج نہیں۔» Another man came and said: O Messenger of Allah! I thought that shaving the head should be done before throwing the pebbles, so I shaved my head before throwing the pebbles. Is there any harm in that? He said: «اب کنکریاں مار لو، کوئی حرج نہیں۔» On that day, regarding whatever matter you were asked about in which someone had done something earlier or later, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «کر لو، کوئی حرج نہیں۔»
Hadith 489
حَدَّثَنَا

ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ
ابْنَ شِهَابٍ ، يَقُولُ : ثَنِي
عِيسَى بْنُ طَلْحَةَ ، قَالَ : ثَنِي
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَا هُوَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ، فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : مَا كُنْتُ أَحْسَبُ وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ : وَفِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، وَنُبَيْطِ بْنِ شَرِيطٍ ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon on the Day of Sacrifice, when a man stood up and asked a question: I thought... (the hadith). Abu Muhammad says: On this subject, narrations have also been transmitted from Abu Bakrah, Nabit bin Shurit, and Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them).
Hadith 490
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Sayyiduna Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to spend the nights of Mina in Makkah for the purpose of providing water, so he granted him permission. These are the words of Al-Ashajj’s narration.
