Hadith 22

It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Satan comes to one of you and says: Who created the sky? He says: Allah, the Exalted, did. Then he asks: Who created the earth? He replies: Allah, the Exalted, did. Then he asks: So who created Allah, the Exalted? So when any of you feels this question, let him say: «آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَبِرُسُلِهِ» (I believe in Allah, the Exalted, and His Messengers)."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Allah Ta‘ala has existed from eternity and will remain until eternity; this magnificent Being has neither a beginning nor an end. Everything in the universe, apart from Him, is dependent upon Him for its existence and for its continued preservation. Therefore, such a question should not arise in the hearts of the believers as to who created Allah Ta‘ala. If any such doubt or whispering arises regarding this, it should be dispelled through the prescribed (masnun) supplications.
