Hadith 21

It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah Almighty says: The son of Adam hurts Me, and that is by reviling time, while I am Time; in My hand is the command, I alternate the night and the day."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Allah Ta’ala’s statement that “I am Time” means that He is the One who controls and manages the affairs of the universe; in all the order and system of time, it is His will and craftsmanship that is operative. Therefore, when a person is passing through times of trial, such as famine, flood, earthquake, storm, defeat, illness, or poverty, he should exercise patience instead of speaking ill of time and circumstance, and in such situations, he should fulfill the demands that Allah Ta’ala has placed upon his existence.
