Hadith 11338

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَالِثٍ) أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَهُوَ مُضْطَبِعٌ بِبُرْدٍ لَهُ حَضْرَمِيٍّ
(Third chain) When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) arrived, he performed the circumambulation (tawaf) of the House of Allah, while at that time he had done idtiba‘ with a prepared mantle from Hadramaut.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Idtiba‘: Taking out the sheet or similar garment from under the right armpit and placing it over the left shoulder, as a person in ihram does during the first circumambulation (tawaf).
