Key Lessons from the Hadith

➊ Worship in the Ka'bah During the Three Disliked Times Is Permissible (According to the Majority of Scholars)

  • The three disliked times for general prayer are:
    1. After Fajr until the sun rises fully.
    2. At the time when the sun is at its zenith (just before Dhuhr).
    3. After Asr until sunset.
  • However, in the Haram (Ka'bah), performing Tawaf and Salah is allowed even during these times.
  • The scholars have allowed this exception based on this Hadith.

➋ Appointing Custodians for the Ka'bah and Mosques Is Permissible

  • The Hadith mentions Banu Abd Manaf, who were custodians of the Ka'bah.
  • This establishes that having custodians or administrators for mosques is permissible for organizational purposes.

➌ The Duty of Custodians in Preventing Un-Islamic Practices

  • Custodians of the Ka'bah and mosques should prevent people from engaging in un-Islamic activities.
  • However, they should not stop anyone from legitimate acts of worship.

➍ Tawaf Can Be Obligatory, Sunnah, or Recommended

  • Tawaf is obligatory (Fardh) during Hajj and Umrah.
  • It can also be performed voluntarily (Nafl) at any time.

➎ The Meaning of Banu Abd Manaf

  • Banu Abd Manaf refers to all the descendants of Abd Manaf, who was the great-great-grandfather of the Prophet (ﷺ).
  • The Prophet’s (ﷺ) lineage is:
Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim bin Abd Manaf.
  • The name "Abd Manaf" means "Slave of Manaf" (Manaf was an idol in pre-Islamic Arabia).
  • This Hadith also highlights the importance of addressing people respectfully when giving advice or commands.
