Will Humans Be Resurrected Again? In the Light of Qur’an, Hadith, and Reason

This is a very important question, and one that arises in every human heart at some point:
"When we die and our bodies scatter into dust, how will we be brought back to life? And will it be the same body or a new one?"
Let us clarify the answer in the light of the Qur’an, Hadith, reason, and examples.
① How is resurrection possible?
The Qur’an’s Question:وَقَالُوا أَئِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا وَرُفَاتًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقًا جَدِيدًا؟
(الإسراء: 49)
"They say: When we have become bones and fragments, shall we indeed be raised up as a new creation?"
This is the same question that people ask even today.
Allah’s Answer:قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا الَّذِي أَنْشَأَهَا أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ
(يس: 79)
"Say: He will give them life Who created them the first time, and He has knowledge of every creation."
Meaning: Allah created us the first time; bringing us back again is even easier for Him.
② Will it be the same body, or a new one?
Brief Answer:- The soul will remain the same.
- The body will be recreated.
- The basic identity will remain the same, but the body will be new and eternal.
Proof from the Qur’an:يَوْمَ تُبَدَّلُ الْأَرْضُ غَيْرَ الْأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ، وَبَرَزُوا لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ
(إبراهيم: 48)
"On the Day when the earth will be changed into another earth, and the heavens also, and they will appear before Allah, the One, the Irresistible."
Likewise, the human body will also be changed so that it may endure the eternal life of the Hereafter.
③ What does reason and science say?
Example: The Seed and the Tree- A seed decays in the soil.
- Yet from that decayed seed, a new tree grows.
If Allah can give life to a dead seed, why can He not bring humans back to life?
Example: Computer Data- Suppose a computer burns down.
- But if its files (data) are saved in a hard drive,
- That same data can be restored in a new computer.
Likewise, the “data” of man (soul, deeds, intentions) is preserved with Allah. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will restore it in a new body, bringing back the same person.
Hadith:The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Every human body will decay except a small bone at the end of the spine, from which man will be recreated."
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
