Hadith 4: Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) circumcising himself at the age of eighty (80)
Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari, Ahadith al-Anbiya, Chapter: The Saying of Allah Almighty: "And Allah took Ibrahim as a Khalil (close friend)," Hadith: 3356
Answer:
There is no room for objection here because the Prophets (peace be upon them) used to receive revelation regarding the rulings of Shariah from time to time, and as the revelation came, they acted upon it. When Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was commanded regarding circumcision at the age of eighty (80), he complied with Allah’s command and circumcised himself at that age. Moreover, natural lifespans were longer at that time, so at the age of eighty (80), he was not weak or frail.
