This excerpt is taken from the book Fazail al-Jihad by Sheikh Abi Abdul Saboor Abdul Ghafoor Damani.

"(Abu Salamah says) Basar bin Saeed narrated to me, he said Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to me that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever provides equipment to one who fights in the way of Allah, it is as if he himself participated in the jihad. And whoever takes care of the household of the warrior in a good manner, it is as if he himself participated in the battle.'"
