As for the jinn:
❍ No clear or authentic narration — not even a weak one — has been identified that names the first jinn or grandfather of the jinn.
✦ ❸ Qur’ānic Reference – Surah al-Raḥmān:
"وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ"
"And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire."
(Surah al-Raḥmān: 15)
In explaining this verse, commentators offer three views:① "الجان" refers to Iblīs.
➤ i.e., Iblīs was among the first of the jinn created from fire.
② "أبو الجن غير إبليس"
➤ It is said the father of the jinn is someone other than Iblīs.
③ "نفس الجن"
➤ "Al-Jān" refers to the entire species of jinn, not a specific individual.

✔ The most supported interpretation is that "al-Jān" refers to the species of jinn, not to one particular ancestral figure.
✔ Iblīs, though among the jinn, may or may not be their original ancestor.
⤷ Therefore, the question “Who is the grandfather of the jinn?” has no explicit answer in Qur’ān or Ḥadīth.

◈ There is no definitive Sharʿī evidence identifying the first jinn by name.
◈ The Qur’ān merely tells us that jinn were created from fire, and Iblīs was from the jinn.
