This excerpt is taken from A Research Review of Mirza Muhammad Ali Engineer's Objections and Issues, authored by Haroon bin Shabbir Ahmad, may Allah preserve him, and revised by Fazilat al-Sheikh Maulana Muhammad Rafiq Tahir, may Allah preserve him.
The real blasphemer is Mirza Sahib himself, not Hazrat Muawiyah, may Allah be pleased with him:
Engineer Sahib sometimes objects to a Sahabi, sometimes issues a fatwa against someone, and sometimes criticizes others, and he has a fixed refrain of calling people blasphemers. Here, a false accusation of disrespect was made against Hazrat Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) by claiming disrespect from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), but in reality, the greatest blasphemer is he himself. His foul language and disrespect are a separate topic. Since here the matter concerns the insult of the Rightly Guided Caliph Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and the Rightly Guided Caliphate, only one example will be presented accordingly. In a video, he was asked:
"Did any Ansari Sahabi hold a high position during the Rightly Guided Caliphate?"
He replied: "Yes, during the caliphate of Hazrat Ali, sir!!! That is the difference! There is a hadith in Bukhari and Muslim: O Ansar! I see fitnah descending upon your homes like raindrops. After me, preference will be given to others over you. Be patient until you meet me at the Pond of Kawthar! (Then Engineer Sahib says

This refers to the hadith that on the Day of Judgment some of my companions will be presented before me... then I will say, remove those who changed the religion after me!

. Now, what is the purpose of mentioning this hadith here? Was it mentioned to condemn the Ansar or in their favor? Yes, in their favor! And against whom was it presented? Against those who gave preference to others over the Ansar and deprived them! In which Rightly Guided Caliphate did the Ansar get their rights? During the time of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). And Mirza Sahib’s statement "that is the difference" indicates negation of the previous eras, meaning that during the times of Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them), others were preferred over the Ansar and they were denied their rights. Now, to whom is this hadith applied? The question was about the Rightly Guided Caliphate, which includes the eras of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali (may Allah be pleased with them).Remember, this hadith is especially applied by the Rafidis to Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) to claim that it refers to them and that they changed the religion after the Prophet. Mirza Sahib himself knows well that the Rafidis apply this hadith to the Rightly Guided Caliphs as he has stated

. Therefore, it is clear that in agreement with the Rafidis, Engineer Sahib has also subtly applied this hadith to Hazrat Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), may Allah protect us from that!Mirza Sahib’s question and answer video was broadcast on the special session of 10th Muharram titled "Muharram and Karbala," keep this in mind! Does anything come to mind?
And do not even mention the Rightly Guided Caliph Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him); a whole chapter will, God willing, be dedicated to Mirza Sahib’s loving words about him.
Regarding the hadith under discussion

, they also loudly claim that Hazrat Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) disrespected Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). So, before leaving, let’s take another gift! Mirza Sahib, while discussing Hajj Tamattu’, says:"It is an authentic hadith in Jami’ Tirmidhi number 824. During the time of Hazrat Muawiyah among the people of Sham, a man came and asked Abdullah ibn Umar— and he seemed like a very clever person—he said: ‘Okay, tell me, is Hajj Tamattu’ permissible or not?’ Sayyiduna Ibn Umar said: ‘It is permissible; it is Sunnah! The Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded it.’ He said: ‘Okay, now come on, they won’t be able to backfoot!’—this is in brackets—he said: ‘Your father used to impose a complete ban on Hajj Tamattu’!’ So this questioner thought that now they cannot even backfoot and will start complaining. So Abdullah bin Umar gave the answer that Engineer Sahib gives..."

Our clever friend has given the reference of Sunan Tirmidhi. Now pick up Sunan Tirmidhi and see where it is written that this person said that now Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) will start complaining or any impression that such a thing could be said? This is Mirza Sahib’s own unique style and disrespectful language. Mirza Sahib says it seems the questioner was as clever as him, and then later by naming him, he used such words that a poor person might really think that yes, the man was as well-mannered as an engineer. Anyway, whether the words "will start complaining" are said in brackets or without brackets, their use for any Sahabi is outright disrespect. Moreover, can Engineer Sahib use such words about his own respected father?
Therefore, Engineer Sahib and his blind followers are advised to stop throwing mud on the Sahaba and look into their own hearts and clean their own filth first. What is spat in the sky falls on one’s own face!
The Sahaba are the sky, and what you people are is not worth mentioning.
