When Both the Killer and the Killed Are in Hellfire

Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ
It is narrated:
إذا تواجه المسلمان بسيفهما فقتل أحدهما صاحبه فالقاتل والمقتول فى النار فقيل هذا القاتل فما بال المقتول؟ قال قد أراد قتل صاحبه
“When two Muslims face each other with their swords, and one kills the other, then both the killer and the killed will be in the Fire.”
It was asked: “This is understandable for the killer, but why for the one killed?”
The Prophet ﷺ replied: “Because he also intended to kill his companion.”
