The Qur’anic Command to Treat Parents Well
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you show excellence (good treatment) to your parents.”

A man of sound mind, who is married, disobeys his father, provides no financial support to his wife, neglects his children, and causes them distress. The home environment and the parents’ behavior have a profound impact on a child’s character and faith.

Parental Negligence and Its Consequences
Just as the failure to provide proper upbringing to children results in distress, humiliation, and disgrace in this world, it will also bring shame and accountability in the Hereafter.
On the Day of Judgment, Allah Almighty will question parents:
“Did you provide good training to your children? Did you guide them toward righteousness and forbid them from evil?”
