✿ Virtue of Seeking Forgiveness for the Deceased After Burial

It is narrated from Hazrat ‘Uthman (رضي الله عنه) that when the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) would finish burying a deceased person, he would stand by the grave and say:
استغفروا لأخيكم وسلوا له التثبيت فإنه الآن يسئال
"Seek forgiveness for your brother and ask Allah to grant him firmness, for he is now being questioned."
